Training Dept. Attendance Requirements

The information contained in this notification is current Illinois state law.  Please understand the following requirements are JATC’s way to be compliant with this new law.  If any individual feels they need further clarification, please contact the JATC Administrative Manager, Rusty Redman or Local 520’s Business Manager, Mark Johnson.

As mentioned above, the current Illinois state law, Executive Order 2021-22 (Covid-19 Executive Order No.88), was signed by Governor Pritzker on September 3, 2021.  The executive order contains vaccination requirements for an Institution of Higher Learning.  The Executive Order 2021-22 defines an “Institution of Higher Education” to include any “business, technical or vocational school, or other educational institution offering degrees, programs or instruction beyond the secondary school level.”

In order for JATC to be compliant with Executive Order 2021-22, anyone who has not established that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must be tested.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be met by providing one of the following:

  1. A CDC COVID-19 vaccination record card or acceptable copy of the card.
  2. Documentation from a health care provider or electronic health record; or
  3. State immunization records.

Individuals who do not provide proof of vaccination must provide proof of negative COVID-19 test results completed within seven days prior to entry of the JATC premises or submit to COVID-19 testing conducted on-site with negative test results.

Beginning October 25, 2021, in order to enter the premises of the Local 520 JATC, all Apprenticeship Employee’s, Trainee’s, or Visitors who have not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 shall undergo weekly testing for COVID-19.
